AeA
Founded in 1943, AeA, is a nationwide trade association that represents all segments of the technology industry and is dedicated solely to helping our members' top line and bottom line. We do this in partnership with our small, medium, and large member companies by lobbying governments at the state, federal, and international levels, providing access to capital and business opportunities, and offering select business services and networking programs.

Association of California School Administrators
The mission of ACSA is to support California's educational leaders; ensure all students have the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel; and champion public education. More than two dozen job-alike and issue-oriented councils and committees, a board of directors and a delegate assembly keep ACSA focused on school leadership and on education policy issues at the local, state and federal levels.

BlogSafety.com
The BlogSafety forum is for parents, teens, educators, advocates - everyone engaged in and interested in the impact of the social Web. The user-driven, all-media, multi-platform phase of the Web has begun, we all have much to learn about it, and this is the central space — linked to from social networks across the Web - for learning about the impact of Web 2.0 together. The forum is also designed to give teens and parents a voice in the public online-safety discussion begun back in the '90s.

In addition, the site has tips for teens and parents, as well as other resources for safe blogging and social networking.

BlogSafety.com is a project of Tech Parenting Group, a nonprofit organization based in Palo Alto, Calif., and Salt Lake City, Utah. The forum is co-directed by Larry Magid of SafeKids.com and Anne Collier of NetFamilyNews.org, co-authors of MySpace Unraveled: What It Is and How to Use It Safely (Peachpit Press, Berkeley, Calif., July 2006). BlogSafety is generously supported by a consortium of social-networking services.

Boys and Girls Clubs of America

California Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs of America
For over 100 years Boys & Girls Clubs have been serving children across the America. California Department of Consumer Affairs
The Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) is here to protect and serve California consumers while ensuring a competent and fair marketplace. DCA helps consumers learn how to protect themselves from unscrupulous and unqualified individuals. The Department also protects professionals from unfair competition by unlicensed practitioners.

California Department of Justice

California District Attorneys Association
Originally composed of county counsels and district attorneys, the California District Attorneys Association has been in existence for over 90 years. As the interests of the group became increasingly diverse, the members decided to form an organization comprised exclusively of prosecutors. In 1974, CDAA was incorporated with the mission to serve the needs and promote the interests of California's prosecutors.

Today, the California District Attorneys Association is over 2,500 members strong, operating with a full-time staff headquartered in Sacramento. CDAA serves as a source of continuing legal education and legislative advocacy for its membership and provides a forum for the exchange of information and innovation in the criminal justice field.

California Office of Privacy Protection
The California Office of Privacy Protection (COPP) is an education and advocacy organization within the Department of Consumer Affairs. COPP assists consumers, businesses, and other organizations with privacy-related concerns, including identity theft. It also conducts educational programs, coordinates with law enforcement, and makes recommendations on best practices for responsible information management.

California Office of the Secretary of Education
The Office of the Secretary of Education is the primary education advisor to the Governor and is committed to creating, promoting, and supporting the Governor's policies that ensure access to quality education for all Californians.

California School Boards Association
The California School Boards Association (CSBA) is a collaborative group of virtually all of the state's more than 1,000 school districts and county offices of education. CSBA promotes success for all students by defining and driving the public education agenda and strengthening school board governance at the district and county levels. CSBA envisions a state where the public schools are widely recognized as the foundation of a free and democratic society, where local citizen governing boards are fully vested with the means to advance the best interests of students and the public, and where the futures of all children are driven by their aspirations, not bounded by their circumstances.

California State PTA
The mission of the California State PTA is to represent our members and to empower and support them with skills in advocacy, leadership, and communication to positively impact the lives of all children.

California State Sheriffs' Association
The California State Sheriffs' Association (CSSA) is a professional organization representing the 58 elected California county sheriffs. The mission of CSSA is to support the role of sheriff as the chief law enforcement officer in each California county and to speak as a collective voice on matters of public safety. The Association presents a united voice in addressing the governor and state lawmakers on law enforcement issues and promotes awareness of sheriffs' concerns through interaction with state and federal agencies.

California Victims Compensation & Government Claims Board
The California Victims Compensation and Government Claims Board (VCGCB) administers the Victim Compensation Program and the Government Claims Program. Since its inception in 1965, the Victim Compensation Program has helped crime victims pay more than $1.5 billion in medical bills, funeral expenses, mental health treatment, lost wages, and other crime-related expenses. The Government Claims Program has its roots in the State Board of Control, which originated in 1911. The Government Claims Program helps members of the public resolve claims against the state. Additionally the VCGCB administers the California State Employees Charitable Campaign, the Good Samaritan Program, and the Missing Children's Reward Program.

Center for Digital Education
The Center for Digital Education is a national research and advisory institute on K-12 and Higher Education technology. Its custom events, publishing, online resources and advisory services are tailored for private industry and public education leaders.

The Center is a business division of e.Republic, publisher of Converge magazine, Government Technology magazine and Public CIO.

Children's Way
Children's Way is a 501(c)3 that has developed a unique web-site for elementary school aged children called Woogi World (TM) Children earn points by completing value based missions which include service activities, the appropriate use of the internet along with safety tools, and engaging in educational games and activities which are NCLB compliant. We partner with educators, and corporations to provide a site where parents can learn and have fun along with their child. Our major differentiator is that we encourage children to learn on-line in very technologically innovative ways, and then apply off-line what has been learned, thus teaching them how to balance their virtual and real worlds.

Facebook
Facebook is the social directory that enables people to connect with friends and share information. People with a valid email address from a supported college, high school or company can register for Facebook and create a profile to share information, photos, and interests with their friends. They can then create profiles to connect with friends, share common interests, join groups, send messages, and share photos. Launched in February 2004, Facebook's site has registered over 8.3 million people and, according to comScore, ranks as the seventh-most trafficked site in the US. As the number one photo-sharing site on the Internet, there are 1.2 million photos uploaded daily and over 350 million photos on the site. Facebook supports over 2,300 colleges, 22,000 high schools and over 7,000 work networks. The company is privately held and headquartered in Palo Alto, CA.

FoundationCare
At FoundationCare our goal is to ensure that schools have the technology they need to provide every student with the best possible education.

FoundationCare is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping fund new technology while keeping kids safe online.

We also provide education for parents and school administrators about how to protect children from dangerous adults and inappropriate online content.

Governor's Office of Emergency Services
The Governor's Office of Emergency Services coordinates overall state agency response to major disasters in support of local government. The office is responsible for assuring the state's readiness to respond to and recover from natural, manmade, and war-caused emergencies, and for assisting local governments in their emergency preparedness, response and recovery efforts.

i-SAFE America, Inc.
i-SAFE Inc. is the leader in Internet safety education. i-SAFE is a nonprofit foundation whose mission is to educate and empower students, parents, seniors, and community members to safely and responsibly take control of their Internet experiences. i-SAFE provides knowledge that will enable them to recognize and avoid dangerous, destructive, or unlawful online behavior, and to respond appropriately. This is accomplished through dynamic interactive K through 12 curriculum in schools in all 50 states; and community-outreach programs to students, parents, law enforcement, and community leaders. i-SAFE is the only Internet safety foundation to combine these elements.

KlaasKids Foundation
Since 1994, the KlaasKids Foundation has pursued the mission of stopping crimes against children through a societal approach that extends from the family kitchen table to the President's cabinet table. By forming partnerships with concerned citizens, the private sector, organizations, law enforcement and legislators, KlaasKids works to elevate child safety as a national priority. Current efforts include the nationally recognized English and Spanish language website; the Print-A-Thon program that has fingerprinted and photographed 1,000,000 children at no cost to families; National Search Center to aid families in the recovery of children; Law Enforcement Training; Legislative advocacy and the KlaasKids public awareness campaign. Alone, none of us has the power to effect profound change, but by working toward common goals, together we can change the world.

loopt
loopt is a revolutionary "social mapping" service that aims to change the way people use mobile phones to keep in touch with their friends. loopt uses GPS (and other location technologies) to show you where your friends are by automatically updating maps on your mobile handset. loopt also lets you send messages to nearby friends and receive automatic alerts when they're nearby so that you never miss an opportunity to meet. The most frequent text message in the world is "Where R U?" and loopt answers that question with a service that puts its customers' safety and privacy before all else.

As the power and global reach of the Internet has grown, unfortunately so has the sophistication of online criminal activity against children. At Microsoft, we are continually working to make the online environment safer for children. We believe by empowering the community with information and tools and building partnerships among the industry and government, we can make the Internet landscape a safer place for both children and families. Microsoft supports parents, child advocates and law enforcement officials to protect children from exposure to inappropriate content and has been a steady advocate of industry collaboration and legislative action. As a technology innovator, we take on a special responsibility to empower and train the industry to protect children and eliminate criminal activity on the Internet.

Motion Picture Association of America, Inc.
The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) serves as the voice and advocate of the American motion picture, home video and television industries from its offices in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. The association represents not only the world of theatrical film, but serve as leader and advocate for major producers and distributors of entertainment programming for television, cable, home video and future delivery systems not yet imagined.

National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's® (NCMEC) mission is to help prevent child abduction and sexual exploitation; help find missing children; and assist victims of child abduction and sexual exploitation, their families, and the professionals who serve them.

NetSmartz
The NetSmartz Workshop is an interactive, educational safety resource from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) and Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) for children aged 5 to 17, parents, guardians, educators, and law enforcement that uses age-appropriate, 3-D activities to teach children how to stay safer on the Internet.

Project Safe Childhood
Guided by the leadership of the Attorney General, Project Safe Childhood (PSC) aims to combat the proliferation of technology-facilitated sexual exploitation crimes against children. The threat of sexual predators soliciting children for physical sexual contact is well-known and serious; the danger of the production, distribution, and possession of child pornography is equally dramatic and disturbing. The response to these growing problems must be coordinated, comprehensive, and robust. It must aim to investigate and prosecute vigorously, and protect and assist victimized children. At the same time, it must recognize the need for a broad, community-based effort to protect our children and to guarantee to future generations the opportunities of the American dream.

Recording Industry Association of America
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is the trade group that represents the U.S. recording industry. Its mission is to foster a business and legal climate that supports and promotes our members' creative and financial vitality. Its members are the record companies that comprise the most vibrant national music industry in the world. RIAA members create, manufacture and/or distribute approximately 90% of all legitimate sound recordings produced and sold in the United States.

In support of this mission, the RIAA works to protect intellectual property rights worldwide and the First Amendment rights of artists; conduct consumer industry and technical research; and monitor and review - - state and federal laws, regulations and policies. Sacramento Valley High-Tech Crimes Task Force
The mission of the Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force is multi-jurisdictional investigations; tracking and disruption of commerce involving stolen goods; and investigation and prosecution of those engaged and participating in white-collar crime, organized crime, crimes against persons, and fraud when high technology or identity theft is a factor.

TeenAngels
Teenangels is a group of 13-18 year-old volunteers that have been specially trained by the local law enforcement, and many other leading safety experts in all aspects of online safety, privacy, and security. After training for six sessions, the Teenangels run unique programs in schools to spread the word about responsible and safe surfing to other teens and younger kids, parents, and teachers. At the urging of our Teenangel volunteers, a special group of volunteers will be able to continue as Teenangels after they become 18 years old, & a new group of Tweenangels has been formed for those between 11 & 13 years of age.

Web Wise Kids
Web Wise Kids (WWK) is a non-profit organization dedicated to equipping today's youth and their parents to make wise choices online. WWK has led the way in marrying education and technology to reach today's e-generation. By using computer games to effectively communicate Internet safety strategies, WWK has succeeded in empowering over 1 million young people to be their own first line of defense from online dangers. Our high tech simulations, based on real-life criminal cases, prepare children to safely and confidently explore the cyber world. This educational approach works because our programs capture a child's attention in a way that "another lecture from an adult" can never do. Using a Community Shield approach to Internet safety education, WWK works through existing networks of law enforcement, educators, and youth leaders.

WiredSafety
WiredSafety.org is a 501(c) (3) charity and the largest and oldest online safety, education, and help group in the world. It consists of thousands of volunteers from more than 76 countries around the world, all working online with the mission of promoting a safer and more responsible Internet and wireless experience for everyone.

Originating in 1995 as a group of volunteers rating websites, it now provides one-to-one help, extensive information, and education to cyberspace users of all ages and members of the Internet industry on a myriad of Internet and interactive technology safety issues. These services are offered through a worldwide organization comprised entirely of volunteers who administer specialized websites and programs. WiredSafety.org volunteers range in age from 18 to 80 and run the gamut from TV personalities, teachers, law enforcement officers, PhD's, writers and librarians to stay-at-home moms, retired persons, and students. WiredSafety.org's founder and Executive Director, cyberlawyer Parry Aftab, is also an unpaid volunteer. With the exception of its TeenAngels, outreach and speaking programs, all work and help is provided online and free of charge.

Originally formed in 1995 (under another name) to provide help and protection for Internet users of all ages, in recent years, Wiredsafety.org's work has increasingly focused on the safety and good cybercitizenship of children, tweens, and teens. It serves as the umbrella organization for TeenAngels.org, WiredKids.org, WiredCops.org and WiredTeens.org. WiredSafety.org is dedicated to protecting children in cyberspace from cybercrimes and abuse, including from each other. This involves protecting them from cyberbullying, hacking, sexual harassment and identity (ID) theft. It also includes protecting children everywhere from Internet-related sexual exploitation. WiredSafety.org helps protect them from risks posed by adults, by each other and more recently from themselves, as their reputations and future college and job opportunities are impacted by what they post on their MySpace and other profiles. The package of programs designed for young users with the assistance of our teen and preteen volunteers is called "ThinkB4uClick," teaching them the consequences of their cyberactivities.
